Balloon Hat Moment

When was the happiest moment of your life?
"Probably when I got married to my husband"
"and why is that"
"Because I knew after that I would get to live the rest of my life with my favorite person as my partner"

Balloon Hat Moment- Blackberry Entrepreneurs

"Our parents decided that we didn't know enough about responsibility, so they bought a bunch of thronless blackberry bushes and helped us plant them"
"-Well they had us to move rocks and make a good place for a patch, it was really hard"
"But then mom had us set up a booth here at the farmers market, all of our berries are hand picked and we made the jam by ourselves"
"Do you like raising blackberries"
"At first we didn't, we were mad because we couldn't use our TV and games and stuff...it's alot of work but I really like it now"
"What's your favorite part about being a blackberry farmer?"
"Eating them"

Once Upon a Time.....

So I suppose that every thing needs a 'beginning'- while life is infinite in both directions, a chapter has to start somewhere. So lets start this chapter with March 18, 2014. On this day I received the notification that I was accepted into the Disney College Program.
It's pretty exciting. It's like opening a book to the right page on the first try, or separating an Oreo without breaking the filling in two.

But to be honest, I'm still kinda in denial.

Mostly because this is the second time I have applied, last year I wasn't accepted, and I didn't really think I'd be accepted this year either. But as serendipity would have it, I was accepted so I will be heading to Orlando in the fall of this year.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY: Let effort take you half way and faith the rest.

Dude, You Should Totally Blog!

If I had a penny every time I heard the  phrase:

"You're so *insert adjective* "funny" "unique" "pretty" "interesting" "inspiring" "weird" you should totally make a BLOG!"

I would have at least five cents, heck maybe a whole half dollar! And you know, I've always been fascinated by the great mysterious art of blogging, and the great delving secrets of those who have lives 'so much more exciting than mine' are 'so much more creative than me' they are so artistic, smart, intuitive, intelligent, hilarious..... every attribute that makes a human lovable. This added to the fact that they are able to present it to the world while still appearing modest is, overall, awe-inspiring and intimidating at the same time.

I have tried to start a blog on several occasions, every time I would look on them with disgust. "The writing is off" "the events aren't interesting enough" "I like weird things" "no one will read this" I finally gave up and swore never to "blog" (waste of time anyway).

But recently I realized that this posting-block, as I will call it, was caused by the fact that I was writing with the intent of being a blogger. Becoming one of these internet-famous, talented, inspiring, overall stupendous humans so that every one could see how great I was, and ultimately be loved.

It's cliche, but it's true, as cliche's often are. I wasn't blogging for myself, to keep a record of my life; for ME to remember, to learn, and to create. I was doing it to be funny, smart, beautiful & lovable.

So if anything here is inspiring to you then fan-flippin'-tastic I'm so happy to help, and it truly is humbling, but to be honest there is one person I hope to reach- and that's me.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY: Be yourself, even if you don't know what that means yet.
